Delhi University Results Cut off Admission Courses Syllabus

The University of Delhi is a most prestigious public central university.  DU offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Research courses. It was established in 1922. It Was Affiliated with UGC, NAAC, NCTE, AIU and AICTE.

Delhi University was one of the largest universities in India. At present, there are 16 faculties, 86 academic departments, 77 colleges and 5 other recognized institutes spread all over the city, with 132435 regular students and 261169 students in non-formal education programme.

Campus : DU has two main campuses 1) The North campus
                                                               2) The South campus.

The University of Delhi was ranked 401-450 in the QS World University Rankings of 2012 and 78 in the QS Asian University Rankings of 2012. It was ranked first by the India Today India's Top 50 Universities of 2013.

Delhi University Admission 2013-14
The Delhi University has Issued the notification for Admission of Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Research Programmes. The Undergraduate admission starts on 21st July for the regular courses. Admission in courses that are done through entrance examination follow a different schedule.

The common pre-admission form (OMR) will be available online as well as offline. All students seeking admission shall have to fill this form. The number of colleges where the forms will be available has been increased from 10 to 18. All colleges will be open for students. They just need to select their choice of main discipline in the form and they can take admission in any college, as long as they meet the cut off.

Delhi University Cut Off
The colleges decide the cut-off percentage (minimum marks required) for their courses and is released by the university on pre decided date as cut-off lists. Once the cut-off percentage is released, any student who has the requisite percent can approach the college and seek admission within a number of days.

Separate cut-offs are announced for aspirants belonging to Other Backward Classes with some relaxation in cut-off percentage given to them as compared to candidates belonging to the General Category. If seats are available, university announces second cut-off list and calls for admission. Up to Six lists are announced. If seats are completely filled in certain courses, no further cut-off of that course is announced.

Students are very lucky,  seats in a few top colleges are still open even after five rounds of admissions in Delhi University. In the 10th cut off list, seats for Commerce in general category are still available in 17 colleges. Admissions based on the latest cut off list will begin from on Monday.
