JNU offers undergraduate, postgraduate and other Diploma, Certificate courses through various schools and centers of the university. JNU is basically a research oriented university, offering M Phil., PhD in several streams. The university has identified and is concentrating upon some major academic programs, which are of relevance to national progress and development.

JNU has released the notification to take the admission for academic session 2013-14. Candidates will be able to take admission as their eligibility. JNU conducted entrance examination every year all over India in about 80 centers including one in Kathmandu. The final selection is based upon performance in the written examination, viva and also the deprivation points.

JNU Ph D Admission 2013-14
The application forms for Direct admission to Ph.D. programme for Monsoon Semester beginning July 2013 is closed on 15th January, 2013 and for winter semester begining January 2014, the application form for Direct admission to Ph.D. programme will be available from 2nd September to 14th October, 2013 and last date for submitting the application forms will be 14th October, 2013. The lists of candidates invited to viva-voce and in respect of those finally selected for admission shall be displayed on the Notice-Boards of the Administrative Block and will also be available on JNU website.
